In 1902 a Clément twin cylinder wins the first uphill race on Mont Ventoux. In 1904 it dissolved this company and formed Clément-Bayard, with which it would also produce cars exported to England under the Clément-Talbot brand. The motorcycle presented in these pages, and marketed in France by Clément, was actually produced in Geneva by Motosacoche, with very few variations compared to the original model in the catalog.

But the most innovative feature for which the Mayor will be remembered, even if it did not follow, are the elastic wheels: a steel disc joins the outer rim to the internal hub by means of rubber pads ensuring, at least in theory, the springing of the motorcycle without the need for other suspension.
