The Cathedral of Monreale

Part of the Unesco World Heritage in the Arab-Norman itinerary of Palermo, Cefalù and Monreale, the Cathedral of Monreale or Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta is a treasure chest: the Byzantine mosaics, the cloister of the monastery Benedictine embellished by the Romanesque capitals of its columns, the interiors with precious thrones and sarcophagi, the works of art of the Diocesan Museum.
