Works by Paolo Veneziano, "the most important Venetian painter in the fourteenth century" and precursor of Venetian painting of the fourteenth century. Central figure of medieval Gothic art in the period of transition between Byzantine painting and Giotto: gold backgrounds, tempera paintings, polyptychs from Italian and European museums.
